Production of Specific Pathogene Free Rabbit

Abstract
This study was conducted to establish the technique with which the specific pathogens free (SPF) rabbits, Pasteurella multocida, Bordetella bronchiseptica, Salmonella spp, Eimeria spp, Ear/Body mange, were produced by hysterectomy and raised with artificial nursing.
The germ free fetus was taken out of the uterus on the 30th day of pregnancy in the operating isolator. The fetus was nursed with colostrum during 3 days after birth, with ordinary milks from 4 days to 20 days and with rabbit milk mixed with goat milk(1 : 1) from 21 days to 35 days after birth. And especially to decrease mortality, a sucking rabbit was fed with autoclaved cabbage adlibitum from 21 days to weaning(35 days) and also fed with colostrum mixed with the dung of a rabbit which grows in the barrier system in order to fix microorganism in their digestive organs during 3 days after birth.
